3rd Grade Science

Introduction

This is 3rd grade life science. I am your teacher, Ms.Whitney, and i will be guiding you along in your journey.

Today we will be learning about cells! We will Learn how they work and function. There will be questions, a video, and a project for you to complete.

Standard: All living things are made of cells that perform functions necessary for life.

Clear target: I will be able to learn about and create a cell.

Project: You will be creating a 3d model of a plant cell or an animal cell using edible objects.

Edible Cell Project

Directions: For this project, you will need to make a cell out of something edible. You may make a plant or animal cell.

Things you need: Labels, and it is edible.

Organization	Project has no organizational skills applied to it, zero effort was put into creating the model.	Some effort was put forth. Project is somewhat organized.	Student put forth all of their effort. Project is the best it could be.
Presentation	Model looks nothing as a cell should.	Looks somewhat like a cell. Still presentable.	Cell is put together well.
Labeling	Cell is not labeled.	Some parts are labeled.	All of cell is labeled.
Preparedness	Student does not do project.	Project is halfway done.	Project is turned in complete.

Today we learned about cells! We learned the different parts and functions of a cell.
