Introduction
For this WebQuest you will create a PowerPoint based upon what topic you choose. This WebQuest will be used to familiarize yourself with creating and developing a PowerPoint Presentation. This should be a fun and new project to learn how to navagate a program that you will use for the rest of your schooling career. This is an advanced task so referring back to the instructions and asking frequent questions is encouraged. Creativity is key to this project and you MUST have correct grammar, spelling, sentence structure, etc.
Task
You are going to create a PowerPoint containing specific information over a topic that you choose with correct English Language Standards. You can choose any topic you want, school related, animals, sports, friends, family, etc. The topic is not what will be graded but how and what the PowerPoint contains. Be sure to choose something that you are interested in because you will be working with it for a while.
You will include within your PowerPoint:
1. A title slide including the title of your PowerPoint and your name.
2. At least 3 ClipArt pictures that relate to your topic.
3. Every slide must have transitions to the next.
4. A bulleted list.
5. Your PowerPoint must have a theme.
6. Must include at least 5 slides and all must have a title.
7. MUST have correct sentence structure, grammar, spelling, etc.
To recieve bonus points you can:
1. Add shapes.
2. Add sounds.
3. Have a picture or video from the internet.
Process
After viewing some PowerPoints that I have created and watching me create one on the SMARTBoard everyone will be required to create their own. Your first job is to decide what you make your PowerPoint over. Choose something that you are really interested in and you think would make a neat presentation. An example would be, I love the St. Louis Cardinals so I could create my presentation over them. (You cannot use this one now). After you choose your topic watch the videos I have provided and begin to create your PowerPoint. If you copy and paste the links into google it will pull up YouTube videos for you to watch. Remember most of the points come from you having correct spelling, grammar, etc.

Conclusion
After completing this webquest you should feel more comfortable working within the PowerPoint program with components that have correct grammar, spelling, structure, etc. If you have any questions during or after this assignment about PowerPoint please feel free to ask.
