1 year Greeting Cards Set

Introduction

A greeting card is a decorated card of high quality paper which is used to express sentiment towards another person. It is traditional gesture that is considered to be more intimate, special, and formal than today’s Emails and text messages.

Greeting cards are usually given during major events like birthdays, a birth of a child, a death of a loved one, a graduation, etc. These cards are also given during cultural and religious holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, Eid’ Al Adha, Christmas, New Years, etc. People usually buy these cards or even make it themselves.

Task

Throughout Unit 2 you have been discussing the topic of Festivals and Celebration where you learned different types of traditions from around the world as well as why and how they celebrate them. By the end of the unit you should be able to understand that as a human being living in society, it is important to respect other people’s traditions and culture. A way to do so is by giving people a GREETINGS CARD.

This includes personal greetings (Birthdays, graduations, get-well-soon) as well as cultural and religious events (Valentine’s Day, Eid’ Al Adha, Christmas, etc).
