This WebQuest is a research unit on figurative language for 7th grade students.

Introduction

In order to make your writing stronger you have to add figurative language, which is the use of words in a way that deviates from the conventional order and meaning in order to convey a complicated meaning, colorful writing, clarity or evocative comparison; like simile, metaphor, personification...

Do you feel bored while you are reading your writing? If so you have to improve it by adding up figurative language. Can you imagine the impact of simile or metaphor on your writing?

Your words will be speaking volumes!
