Introduction
Students will need to learn and solve problems dealing with ratios, and how they compare to fractions.
Task
Students will be asked to answer the following problems:
1. turn 3:4 into a fraction
2. how many ways can you write a ratio
3. write out the different forms of ratios with the numbers 5 and 6
4. turn the fraction 2/1 into a ratio form of your choosing
Process
There will be four students in one group
student one: will be in charge of reading the directions
student two: will make sure everyone is doing their own work
student three: will be in charge of the groups discussion on checking their work
student four: will turn all of the papers in
every student must do their own work
Evaluation
Every student will fill out an evaluation form to say whether everyone in the group did their own work. This will count as 10% of their final grade.
