Introduction
Every day we hear news about rising temperatures, stronger storms, or melting ice caps. These are all linked to climate change, one of the biggest challenges facing our world today. In this WebQuest, you will investigate the causes, effects, and solutions to climate change, and think about what you can do to help.
Task
Create a group awareness campaign (poster, short video, or slideshow) that explains:
-
The main causes of climate change
-
Its effects on people, animals, and the environment
-
Practical solutions that individuals and communities can do to help
You will present your campaign to the class as if you are speaking to your local community.
Process
-
Starter Activity – Watch a short documentary clip on climate change to introduce the topic.
-
Group Roles – Form groups of 4–5 and assign roles: researcher, writer, designer, presenter, and fact-checker.
-
Research Phase – Use the provided resources to gather information about causes, effects, and solutions.
-
Create Your Campaign – Design your awareness product (poster, slideshow, or short video). Be creative but keep it informative.
-
Presentation – Share your campaign with the class. Each member must participate in presenting.
