Introduction
  • * Hook students with a question like "How do authors use words to create emotions?
  • *State the learning Goal: Improving comprehension and critical thinking through analyzing short stories or poems.
  • *Align with Florida ELA Standard and Bloom's taxonomy 
Task
  • Students will read a selected text (short story, article, or poem).
  • They'll create a digital response --such as a flip video summarizing  the theme or a canvas infographic showing character traits.
  • The final product demonstrates understanding of plot, theme, and author's purpose.
Process
  • Step 1: Read the assigned text.
  • Step 2: use provided links to explore vocabulary and author background.
  • Step 3: Discuss in small groups using Padlet or Flip.
  • Step 4: Create your digital project using canva or Google slides.
  • Step 5: Submit your work for peer review.
Evaluation
  • Rubric categories comprehension, creativity, collaboration, and clarity.
  • Each category scored on a 1-4 scale. 
  • Include self -assessment reflection questions.
Conclusion
  • Summarize how reading helps us connect ideas and perspectives.
  • Offer an enrichment link.
