Introduction

Some teachers believe the best way to demand attention from students is to simply wait and let them self-regulate. Others take a more active approach by using a call and response style which can many students find fun and engaging. Some teachers make their attention-getting technique fun and personal.

Task

A goal is a broad statement that represents the overall impact you would like to achieve through your program. A desired outcome is a way to make goals more specific. For example, it can target certain attitudes, skills, or actual behaviors in your target population.

Evaluation

A rubric is a scoring guide used to evaluate performance, a product, or a project. It has three parts: 1) performance criteria; 2) rating scale; and 3) indicators. For you and your students, the rubric defines what is expected and what will be assessed.

How Does Reflection Benefit You & Your Learners? It encourages learners to take charge of their own learning: Providing learners with the opportunity to share their accomplishments, struggles, and even moments of confusion, encourages them to focus on their personal strengths and weaknesses.
