This WebQuest was edited by a teacher of Gymnázium Cyrila Daxnera vo Vranove nad Topľou, Slovakia, as part of the activities of the "Mediterranean Diet for Overall Health" (MedDiet4Health) Erasmus+ project (Project number: 2023-2-EL01-KA210-VET-000183592).

By engaging in these activities, students not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also develop a range of skills that are highly relevant for careers in food technology, health, nutrition and hospitality. They gain culinary and food preparation skills through designing and practicing traditional recipes, as well as menu planning and event organization skills when creating and presenting festive meals. Working with digital tools they strengthen their digital literacy and communication abilities, while the cooking workshop and sensory evaluation activities help them build sensory analysis, evaluation and quality control skills that are vital in food and nutrition professions. Additionally, they enhance their teamwork, cultural competence and professional presentation skills, all of which are essential in vocational and workplace contexts.
