Task
Thanks for helping Kidspop News Station and becoming our new Weather Reporter. The weather plays a big part on our daily lives. It is very important to know what the weather will be like. By knowing the different types of weather, it will help you decide what clothing to wear for the day. So, let`s get started!! We need you to work in a group with 4 other weather reporters for the next 7 days. You and your group will need to observe the weather and identify some terms(rainy, sunny, stormy, snowy, cloudy, windy). Once you have completed that you and your group will make two posters to present.
First poster, you will need to get creative and determine the forecast for the week. You can use any props of your choice and any other type of material.

Second poster, you will need to search the internet to find pictures that fit each weather column. Then you will make a poster wording it “What should I wear today” to go along with your forecast for the week.

At the end of this WebQuest you will be a Weather Reporter expert!!
Process
The Process:
This is a Group Work Assignment. Please follow the instructions below:
1. You will Create 2 posters. The first poster is a weather chart using colored crayons to determine the forecast and the second poster is a, "What should I wear today?" poster where you can list the type of clothes you should wear depending on the weather that day.
2. On the first poster, you will label the left side of the chart “Monday-Sunday” to represent one week by using different colors.
3. You will search the internet and you will need to find the following pictures and terms for each type of weather:
- Rainy
- Sunny
- Stormy
- Snowy
- Cloudy
- Windy
5. On the Second Poster, you will write the title on the top, " What should I wear today?" and place photos of the type of clothes you would wear, based on the weather that day. Example: Cold Weather = jacket, Hot Weather = sun glasses, Rainy Weather = rain coat.

Conclusion
Now that the week is over, you are officially a weather reporter!

After making observations on the weather each and everyday, you should be an expert when it comes to every aspect of the weather. You now know what to wear and what activities you can do every day despite the weather. Some days you might have to wear sunglasses because the sun is shining high up in the sky and other days you might be splashing puddles with your rain boots. Some days you might be wearing shorts with flip flops while other days you might be wearing two pairs of pants with some mittens. It is good that you now know what is appropriate for the weather of each day even though you are still a kid.
