Introduction
Wealth gap is a crucial social issue in Hong Kong. By looking into this topic, students will learn about the causes of the wealth gap through a newspaper article and learn to give suggestions on how to improve the current situation by expressing their opinions with a letter to the editor.
Student Level: Secondary Five
Task
Task 1: Reading
Students to read the following article and understand the issue from an editorial under the guidance of the teacher. Teacher then provides a worksheet with comprehension questions to check students' understanding of the text.
Task 2: Writing
After finishing the worksheet, students are asked to write a letter to the editor of around 200 words and express their own opinions about this issue.
