Introduction
HOW TO MAKE A CLASSIC COFFEE FILTER BUTTERFLY CRAFT USING A POSTER.
Not only is this craft lovely, but it is packed with fine motor skills. Dabbing, squeezing, scrunching, pinching…it’s perfect for kids!
Students will be able to show the steps of a butterfly by creating a poster and drawing the steps and how they are mixing the watercolors together.
Task
HOW TO MAKE A CLASSIC COFFEE FILTER BUTTERFLY CRAFT USING A POSTER.
First, explain to the students how to make butterfly wings out of coffee filters. After they're done with that they can color them with washable markers and create patterns. They need to leave a little bit of white, so they can blend the colors together. After all of the students are done, they can spray a little bit of water on the coffee filters and watch the colors go together. Then after the coffee filters are done they can use a blow dryer to dry them off or they can let them dry on their own. They can use a pipe cleaner to put on their butterflies as their antennae and then use a string to hang your butterflies.
Materials: Coffee Filters, Washable Markers ( you can use any colors), Spray Bottle ( for water), Pipe Cleaners (any colors), Hair Dryer ( to dry), String ( for hanging).
