Introduction

Guiding Questions: What are the main stages of the water cycle?

How does the water cycle affect the Earth?

How does the water cycle move from one stage to another?

Learning Objectives: Students will be able to identify the four main stages of the water cycle.

Students will be creative with their PowerPoint and be able to organize in a neat manner.

Students will explain what the water cycle is and how it works

Task

In this project, you will create a narrated PowerPoint on the Water Cycle. Each group is responsible for naming all four stages and explaining what each one does. You must not forget to talk about how the water cycle affects the Earth too.

Make sure your PowerPoint includes...

  • Illustrations and Diagrams of the water cycle
  • A clear narration of the PowerPoint
  • ALL words must be in your own words
Process

You will need to get into groups of four.

There are two ways you can do this: Each student will be responsible for their own slide. Each has to write about their own stage and narrate it and make sure they include a diagram/picture in the slide. Each student will also have to write a fact on how the water cycle affects the Earth.

Another way: One students role is to research the material. Another person is to create the script so someone else can narrate it. And finally someone else be responsible for creating or finding diagrams or pictures of the stages of the water cycle.

This PowerPoint should have 7 slides in total. First slide should be the title slide. Second slide should explain what the water cycle is. Third to sixth slide should include all the stages of the water cycle. Finally, the last slide should include all the facts on how the water cycle is important to Earth.
