Washington D.C.: Before and Now

Introduction

Everything has an origin. Washington D.C. started with a portion of land. For a few hundred years, the land has grown and evolved to the city you now see. You will visit 10 different eras and compare two eras. You will learn how Washington DC changed over the years. 

Task

You will identify and list at least 5 differences and 3 similarities on the maps of two different time eras with 80% accuracy based on the rubric. You will write a few sentences paragraph for each difference and similarity.

For English Learner: You will be asked to identify at least 3 differences and 2 similarities.

For Student 4:  You may request a print out of the maps and you will do an ASL video explaining 3 differences and 2 similarities

Process

Visit each link for the map of each era. Please look over the map and the pictures. Write down your findings in the notebook.
