Introduction

Greek mythology has influenced some of the most famous works of literature. One does not require a formal knowledge of it to be familiar with some of its most prominent tales. Learning about Greek mythology will help you to better understand texts that reference Greek myths.
Task
Your task, as a group, is to learn about a Greek myth and present it to the class using the presentation medium of your choice (e.g. PowerPoint and Prezi).

Process
The process is as follows:
1. Use any of the following websites to search for a Greek myth:

2. Within your group, select a myth to read about. Each group will have a different story to present, so inform the teacher of your chosen myth as soon as possible.
3. For your presentation, you will need to address the elements of the myth’s plot:
- Exposition – characters, setting
- Rising Action – events leading to the climax
- Climax – turning point of the story
- Falling Action – events that occur after climax and lead to resolution
- Resolution – problem is resolved
