Voice Volume

Introduction

Today you are tourist in a school building. You are exploring the school and finding out all about the school. Before you can see all of the cool things in the school you first have to pass the voice volume test. You will be given different voice levels to follow while you are at different locations in the school. For an example you will be able to use a outside voice in the gym, but while you are in the classroom you will use your inside voice.

To start you will all line up and get ready to test your voice volume skills. After you have learned the differences in voice levels and inside and outside voices your knowledge will be put to the test to see if you are ready to tour the school!

Task

Today you will learn about voice volume and how to use it throughout the school. You will be learning about why voice volume is important and what volume to use in each of the school buildings. At the end of the lesson, you will be taking a assessment to see if you can pass. If you pass you are ready to go on your journey through the school.

Process

1. Listen to the Tom and Tabby story about voice volume. You will be able to relate to this story because the story takes place in a library just like in the school. You will also be answering questions relating to the text, like explain how Tom and Tabby learned voice volume.

-What did you learn from this article?

-Do you think Tabby was following the rules in the Library?

2. Voice Volume song: Alligator song. This song will show voice volume. First the Alligator will demonstrate a outside voice then a inside voice.
