Voice over PowerPoint

Introduction

This is an activity for nurse educators to learn how to add voice over a PowerPoint presentation. 

If you already know how to do this, join another team that is using a different tool.

Task

Solve this Identified Learning Need: 

Learners have indicated an incomplete understanding of atrial fibrillation in the areas of ECG identification, causes, risks, and treatment. 

Work as a team to create a brief (< 3 minute) voice over powerpoint to address the above learning need (or another learning need/topic that your group wishes to address).

Process

The following list provides resources to assist you. Choose and watch one that is most appropriate for your device and software.

After watching the "how to" video, 

1. Develop a brief PPT to solve the problem identified on the "Task" page

2. Follow the steps to add narration to the PPT

3. Email a copy of your PPT with narration to the workshop facilitator 

4. Click on the "Evaluation" bar to wrap up

Evaluation

Discuss among your group if this was a helpful exercise. What challenges did you face? What benefits could it provide? How might this be used in your education environment? 

Prepare to share your PPT and/or discuss your experience with developing it with the larger group of participants.
