Vincent Willem van Gogh

Introduction

The students are 16 -17 years old and they are 11th grade .There are 20 students in the classroom. Their language level is intermediate. It is a high school CLIL classroom.

Vincent Willem van Gogh (Dutch: 30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch post impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art.

You will prepare a poster, answer some questions and learn about van Gogh 's life, his paintings, and drawings. You will also practice past tense and irregular verbs . 

Task

You will use the links to research and prepare a poster about van Gogh  in groups of 4 .

You will answer the questions through the links and use some of the answers in your poster as an information . 

Add at least 5 paintings and 2 quotes of Van Gogh's to your poster .

Vincent van Goagh was a Dutch painter, generally considered to be the greatest after Rembrandt van Rijn, and one of the greatest of the Post-Impressionists. He sold only one artwork during his life, but in the century after his death he became perhaps the most recognized painter of all time.

This Webquest is designed to learn about Van Gogh's life , his work and his importance for history . Students will also be practicing past tense and irregular verbs . This webquest is appropriate for intermediate students . (16-17 years old) .

The objectives are that students :
