Introduction
There are not any youth centers in my neighborhood. Many are involved in criminal activity because of the scarcity of places where young people can gather and participate in activities that foster their growth and development. As a result, many young people have low self-esteem because of a sense of disassociation from their families and communities. Young people need to have the chance to develop an understanding of self-worth and have their identity as community members validated. Young people's problem-solving and decision-making abilities can significantly impact the community if adults utilize them. Adults must acknowledge that adolescents have a shareholding in their neighborhoods. They must be actively involved in resolving local issues, especially juvenile crime and victimization. Both the community and young people profit from youth involvement: the community will benefit from the high level of energy and creativity that young people bring. The young people themselves benefit from the critical awareness that they can make a positive difference in their community. It is common knowledge that the success of many community programs can be traced back to their efforts to instill in young people a sense of pride and respect for the positive contributions they can make to their communities and families. Youth should be encouraged to resist violence and learn how to mediate disagreements peacefully through community-based activities and services. Instead of fostering distrust, they should work to promote trust and cooperation among young people and those who enforce the law.
Task
With this much-needed infrastructure, the community and its young people will gain a lot. There is a need for after school tutoring programs, mentoring programs, counselors, and activities such as, Volleyball, basketball, swimming, step and much more will be offered in the Village for youth community center. The community center will also include youth mentorship activities. They will be able to take advantage of the programs after school. These programs will be tailored to the needs of local youths ages 7-18. Tutoring and a game area where kids can hang out and cheer one other on are included in our efforts to offer youth more than only athletic and sports-related activities. The primary funding sources for the Village for youth community center are; the US Department of Labor's Youth Opportunity Grants. Management of the community center will apply for the youth grant and win funds that will help stock the equipment used in the operations of the community center. Another primary source of income for the project is the State and Local Public funding. The state and municipal levels have also seen a rise in community initiatives for youth. The program will require a facility to support the operations of Village for youth community center's programs. The funds received from the State and Local Public funding will be used to purchase a facility within the community. The community center will employ counselors as well as staff to help in the implementation of the programs. To enhance productivity and gain the trust of the youth, the program will utilize the expertise of the children who have been in community centers and have made successful careers out of community programs.
