The Second Grade will be taking a trip through the five (5) regions of Georgia in the "Hot Air Honey Bee"! The State of Georgia extends from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean! While in the "Hot Air Honey Bee" the students will also be looking for the major rivers of Georgia - Ocumulgee, Oconee, Altamaha, Savannah, St. Mary's, Chattahoochee, and Flint. |
Task
You are about to begin the "Georgia....On My Mind High Flying Adventure" in the "Hot Air Honey Bee." You will need to bring along your Dinahzike Journal and a pencil to help you record topographical information about the State of Georgia.
When you are finished your Dinahzike Journal you will have the five (5) geographic regions of Georgia listed and the seven (7) major rivers listed, they will be available as a resource to you for labeling two (2) maps. Map #1 will ask you to label the geographic regions - you should be able to associate the regions with the various cities listed on the map. Map #2, you will be asked to label the seven (7) major rivers of Georgia.
