Introduction

Learning outcomes: at the end of this session, students should be able to

  • Identify most common demanded goods and services in Kiribati
  • Examine other goods and services that they already know from their community
  • Discuss the relationship between the demand and other local product

In this activity will help you explore on the using of Traditional skills in Kiribati. Thus, you can understand more on demand, services, also from your understanding you can apply by using your own circumstances or society. Therefore, these link(below) will take you to know more on the three main goals or learning outcomes.

Task

In group task you are going to be an expert consumer to create a presentation that involve the use of traditional skills. In your final product should include these:

  1. List of goods that are common demand in Kiribati
  2. List of goods that are already know in your community or society
  3. A short explanation on the relationship between the demand and other local product
Process

You are required to follow these steps.

  1. Form a group of 5-6 students: In you are group are required to discuss these things
  2. Services: In your group discuss any services in Kiribati
  3. Goods: In your group are going to list all the goods that are common demand in Kiribati 
  4. Explanation: Discuss in your group why do you chose all those goods to be a demand in Kiribati
  5. Goods in Society: In your group, list all the goods that you see in your community.
  6. Short Description: Discuss in your group the relationship between the demanded and other local product
  7. Practice and Present: Make sure that in your group are going to have a part and present your work in front the class

Your presentation and discussion will be graded using the rubric below (Total: 16 points)
