Task

Your friends would like some information about the USA. So look for information.

1. Choose a state or city you would like to visit

2. Find information about hotels.

3. Find nice places to eat

5. Find things to do, places to see

6. Find info about the wildlife in your state

7. Make a powerpoint about all of this information

Process

Part 1 - Introduction

Go to www.lonelyplanet.com/usa and pick a state or city you would like to visit. Why do you want to visit this place?

Part 2 - Hotels

Now you have to find a nice hotel, bed & breakfast or hostel.

You can use sites like https://www.dorms.com/North+America/USA or www.hostels.com

Pick at least one place to stay. Why would you stay here?

Part 3 - Places to eat

Where can you have a nice meal in the area you are visiting, what kind of restaurants are around. You could use a site like www.tripadvisor.com to answer questions about where to eat.

Pick 3 places to eat and explain why these are great restaurants.

Part 4 - Things to do

You can use google to figure out what kind of interesting things there are in your state / area, maybe you can go to the state fair, or maybe there are theme parks, zoos or interesting buildings.

Pick 3 things to do and explain why these are fun.

Part 5 - Wildlife

What kind of animals can you find in your part of the country?

Pick 3 animals and explain why they symboblize the city/state you have chosen.

Part 6 - Conclusion

Write a short conclusion, why is your state / city a great place to visit.

Part 7 - Powerpoint

Make a powerpoint (or use similar software) to showcase your findings.

Part 8 - Presentation

Give a presentation using your powerpoint.

Conclusion

You have collected all the information you need to build a powerpoint. To avoid "death by powerpoint" you are only allowed to use one or two powerpoint /prezi pages per subject. Make sure you begin your powerpoint with a frontpage and finish your powerpoint with a conclusion (in which you tell your friends why your state / city is the best place to visit). In total you should not have more than 10 pages.
