Introduction
PREFIXES

Students will demonstrate their knowledge on prefixes such as "re", "un", "dis" and "im". The will define and give examples of words that begin with these prefixes.
Introduction
Students will be learning about four prefixes throughout the week: re, un, dis and im.
Students will learn what each of these terms mean, how to use them in sentences and how to tell others about them.
It is good for them to know what these words are and how to use them to write sentences. Prefixes help you to talk with sense, how one feels, how one wants and how things look.
Task

Students will be split into 4 groups and given a prefix. They will have to give a definition of the prefix, how to use it in a sentence, when to use it in a sentence and then teach what they have learned to their classmates.
Students will be graded out of a possible 15 points from the rubric in the lesson.
This assignment will be broke up into 3 classes that will be explained later.
Process

First, you will break up into 4 different groups with 4 people in each group.
I will then give each group a different prefix. (re, un, dis, im)
You will then use the video I have put below to do research on your prefix and write down the definition, how to use that prefix in a sentence and when to use the prefix in a sentence.
This is a GREAT video to use and it is very helpful. Note: You may use other videos or websites for extra help but I want your final definition to come from the video. There is one definition on what a prefix is but each prefix means something different. This video is self explanatory and will help you to understand clearer.
Now for the fun part!!!!
You all get to pretend you are going on a television program called "Let's learn Language" and they want you to come up with a skit, poem or song, it should include the definition of a prefix and teach the audience how to use a prefix in a sentence and when to use it in a sentence. You can divide the work amongst yourselves in the group but everyone MUST participate in the presentation. REMEBER TO BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN!!!
Evaluation
This is how your work will be evaluated.

Teacher's Introduction
This lesson was created to spark students' creativity by allowing them to be able to pretend they are adults and creating something of their own for others to see, while still allowing them to learn something useful and very important. It is very important for students to be able to talk with intelligence and effectively communicate. It is also important for students to be able to use the internet and learn how much information is out there to learn. Also, students need to use their minds and be creative and this is a great way to do it.
