Introduction
Emotions are a big part of our daily lives. They help us understand ourselves, others and the world around us. But, have you ever wondered what emotions are, why we feel them, or how they can affect our behavior? This WebQuest will guide you through the world of emotions and feelings. You will explore different types of emotions, how people express them, and why it is so important to understand our feelings. By the end, you will be able to explain emotions and how they affect our everyday lives!
Task
Your mission is to learn about different types of emotions, what causes them and how people express them. You will complete a fun quiz to discover your own emotions and create a poster about one emotion that interests you the most. Your poster should explain:
- The meaning of the emotion.
- How people show this emotion.
- How the emotion can make people feel.
- Why understanding emotions is important for getting along with others.
Process
You need to follow these steps:
- Research Emotions:
- Watch a video on how emotions are expressed in people. Write down the main facts about each emotion.
- Take an Emotion Quiz:
- Complete an online quiz to discover which emotion you feel most often and why.
- Reflect on your results and think about times you have felt those emotions.
- Create Your Emotion Poster:
- Choose one emotion (for example, joy, sadness or anger) to focus on.
- Use the information you found to create a colorful poster.
- Your poster should include images and descriptions of how people show this emotion.
- Submit Your Poster:
- After completing your poster, share it with the class. Be ready to explain your poster and why you chose the emotion.
Evaluation
You will be graded on the following:
- Research: Did you understand what each emotion is and how it is expressed?
- Creativity: Is your poster colorful and creative? Does it include all the important information about the emotion?
- Reflection: Did you think about your own feelings and how they connect with the emotions you studied?
Rubric Excellent (5 pts): Complete research and a creative poster with all details. Good (3 pts): Good research but the poster is missing some information or creativity. Needs Improvement (1 pt): Limited research and incomplete or unclear poster.
