Engage
A transportation-themed game of charades will be played by the teacher and students. In this game, the teacher will pretend to be various modes of transportation for the various modes of transportation as the students attempt to identify the mode of transportation to which each object belongs.Following the transportation charades game, the teacher will facilitate a conversation about the previous activity.
Explain
The teacher will then ask the students what the topic is just to see if they are following. The teacher will clear up any incorrect topics and state the correct one. The students will be given a video on types of transportation to watch.
Explore
The students will be given an activity to identify two examples of each type of transportation.
Elaborate
The teacher will give the pupils various toys and ask them to describe the significance of each. For instance, the instructor will load a truck with stones and ask the students to discuss the significance of trucks and their various uses. The students will identify which images of various modes of transportation are of land transportation by the teacher placing them under their desks. Additionally, the instructor will display a picture of a train and ask the pupils to describe its function. The kids will then be given plain paper, pencils, and crayons so they can draw, color, and write the names of their five modes of transportation, whether they come from the air, the land, the water, or anything else.
Evaluation
Students should give a workable definition for transportation, list three (3) importance and state five (5) examples.
