What is a Common Noun?

A common Noun is a person, place, thing, or idea

 Examples: boy, state, plane

What is a Proper Noun?

Proper Noun

-is a name given to individual people, places etc.

Proper nouns begin with a capital letter.

 

Examples:

Martha is a pretty girl.

God created man.

Manila is the capital of the Philippines.
