Task

Task 1: Students will be given a link to research the five cake making processes (creaming, whisking, rubbing in, all-in-one, and melting). Students will work in three groups to develop a modest power point presentation and presenting the five cake making methods.

Task 2: Students will be asked to watch a video link provided to learn how to execute each baking method and show one cake making method in a practical.

Task 3: There will be a link provided for the students research the key ingredients used in each cake making procedure. 

Task 4: A quiz link will be provide to test the students knowledge about the five (5) different cake making methods.

Process

Task 1: Research and Presentation

step1: Distribute the link to students for researching the five baking processes (creaming, whisking, rubbing in, all-in-one, and melting).

Step 2: Divide students into three groups, ensuring each group has a mix of skills and strength.

Step 3 :Instruct each group to create a PowerPoint presentation covering the five baking methods. Assign specific sections to each group member for a well-rounded presentation.

Step 4: Emphasize the importance of clarity, visual aids, and concise information in the presentations.

Step 5: Set a presentation day where each group presents their findings.

 

Task 2: Practical Demonstration

Step 1: Share a video link demonstrating the execution of each baking method.

Step 2: Watch and Learn: Instruct students to watch the video and take notes on the key steps and techniques involved in each baking method.

Step 3: Ask each student to choose one baking method and demonstrate it practically in the class.

Step 4: Evaluate based on technique, precision, and understanding demonstrated during the practical.

 

Task 3: Key Ingredients Research

Step 1: Provide a link for students to research the key ingredients used in each baking procedure.

Step 2: Specify whether students should work individually or in groups for this task.

Step 3 Ask students to compile their findings into a document or presentation.

 

Task 4: Quiz

Step 1: Share a quiz link to test students' knowledge about the five different baking methods.

Step 2: Determine the format of the quiz (multiple-choice, short answer, etc.) and the number of questions.

Step 3: Set a deadline for completing the quiz.

Students will complete an online quiz provided by the teacher to assess their understanding of the five (5) baking methods. Students will be given feedback on the quiz platform and cleared of any misconceptions.  

Students will be evaluated based on how well they perform the baking method chosen for the practical.
