Introduction

This will be a web quest that allows students to get to know more about the different biomes of the Earth.

What is a biome?

Biomes are very large ecological areas on the earth’s surface, with fauna and flora (animals and plants) adapting to their environment. Biomes are often defined by abiotic factors such as climate, relief, geology, soils and vegetation.

There are eight  biomes on earth. These are the following:

Desert, Grassland, Rainforest, Taiga, Temperate Forest, and Tundra.

Task

Task:

Your assignment is you are going to tell the class the eight biomes on Earth.

  1. You will group yourselves into 5 groups.
  2. You will answer the following question in the worksheet.
  3. After answering present in using a PowerPoint presentation.

The slides contain:

i)        The second slide contains your group number

ii)       The third slide with the name of your biome and the team members.

iii)     Then present your answers accordingly.
