Introduction
You are representatives of different travel agencies which participate in a ‘Travel Around Canada’ Fair. The goal of this fair is to organise a big advertising campaign that is attempting to attract tourists to visit Canada and find investors in this project.
Canada is a huge and amazing country, so many people will contact tour guides to find a place to visit. Some visitors are going to see cities in Canada and some may wish to enjoy the amazing landscapes.
Task
Each group will create a 5-7 minute oral presentation to convince members of the Fair committee that their offer should be the best. The presentation must involve all group members and include visual aids.

The information might include such things as what the region is famous for, "not to be missed" sites, things to do, weather information, historical sites, annual events, and anything else that you feel is important. You must also develop a leaflet and/or voice a video to supplement your presentation. You must also create a catchy travel slogan for your option.

Persuade the committee of the fair that what you are offering is Canada’s best for tourists. Your classmates will be asked to select the team that makes the most convincing topic. Use plenty of persuasive and descriptive language! The information must be real and presented in a dynamic and convincing manner.
Process
- Choose a Canadian area that you would like to learn more about. You may use the Internet resources listed below as well as books, magazines or brochures to help you choose a place.
- Decide which aspects you would like to talk about in your slide show, keeping in mind that your goal is to attract tourists to the place. Determine what are the main features that they would like the most.
- Once you have obtained all the necessary information, use Microsoft Power Point for your presentation, Microsoft Publisher to create a leaflet describing the area you have chosen.

Evaluation
Students will be graded on the quality of their slide show as well as the content of the presentation.
- Have you revised your writing so that your finished product is reflective of your best effort?
- Do the slides help illustrate the main points of your presentation? Are your slides clear and easy to view and understand?
- Have you included enough information and pictures without creating a cluttered and difficult to read slide? Do you think that your presentation will capture the interest of your audience?
- Are they going to visit "your" place after your presentation? Would you be excited by this presentation?
