Introduction
Hello my 2nd graders, Are ya'll ready to learn? Get your minds set to learn about grizzly bears. So let's growl real loud like the strong and mighty g-r-r-rizzly bear.
Task
The students will learn interesting facts about grizzly bears using a nonfiction and a fiction book and 3 different websites. The students will take Accelerated Reading quizzes on the books. While learning about grizzly bears, the students will compile day-to-day information to create their own information book.

Process
1. Day 1 - You will read Grizzy Bears by Cynthia Klingel and Robert Noyed. You will take an Accelerated Reading quiz. You will draw and color your grizzly bear, this will be your cover page to your writing assignment. The teacher will have the supplies available.
2. Day 2 - You will read Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson. You will take an Accelerated Reading quiz and you will list 10 rhyming pairs that is in the book. The teacher will have this worksheet.
3. Day 3 - You will look up information on the kidskonnect website. You will write your own sentences about 2 interesting facts that you learned about the grizzly bear. You should have an illustration to go with your sentences. The teacher will have the writing paper available for you.
4. Day 4 - You will look up information on animal guide website. You will write 2 more different facts that you learned. You should have an illustration to go with your sentences. The teacher will have the writing paper available for you.
5. Day 5 - You will watch a short clip about grizzly bears on playrific. You will write 1 more different fact that you learned. You should have an illustration to go with your sentences and you should have your little information book activity completed.
