Task

Your task upon completing this WebQuest is to create a compelling travel brochure to attract tourists to Ancient Egypt! You can either create your brochure by hand OR using an online template. Your brochure should be compelling and convince travelers to want to go to Ancient Egypt, using descriptive language, images, and attractive facts.

Process

1. Access the graphic organizer on Google Classroom which you will use to organize information as you navigate through this WebQuest. The graphic organizer will assist you in arranging the various topics you will learn about in a way that will be easy to use later when you construct your brochure.

2. Open a resource listed for you on this WebQuest. Read and analyze the information presented to you from that source. Determine where it belongs on your graphic organizer and jot down brief information that you will use for the brochure.

3. Continue this process until you have explored all of the resources.

4. Create your brochure! You may either create your brochure on paper (Option 4a) or using a digital platform (Option 4b)

4a. Take a piece of paper and hold it horizontally. Fold the paper into 3 segments. The side facing out is you cover page!

4b. Using either a template found on Microsoft Word OR Canva (if you are feeling REALLY tech savvy), select the brochure template that has 3 panels per side.

5. On the cover of your brochure, create a catchy title that would attract a traveler to pick up the brochure and include an image as well as your name

6. On the other panels, title and describe information for each of the following topics: Geography, Historic Sites, Metropolitan Areas, Government, and Culture. Make sure to include both images AND text that is descriptive and enticing.

7. Ask your teacher if you have any questions.
