Travel 4 Food (Blogger)

Introduction

Hello everyone!

Do you know that travelling around the word to try different types of food has become a JOB?

Ins't that AMAZING?

Let's find out more information about several people who live and earn REAL money from these unique expericiences, and see how can we become popular Travel 4 Food Bloggers and maybe... YouTubers too!

Task

Today we will be working online in order to discover different people from all around the world who love travelling 4 food. Then, you will be able to write a short blog entry describing a food experience (main meals and traditional dishes) of any country you like (it could be Spain) or you have been to.

To achieve this, you will be working in pairs.

Process

Have a look at the following steps to successfully achieve our result:

1. In pairs, you will have to choose one Travel 4 Food blog from the list and another one you already know (it could be in Spanish, or any other language you know. If you cannot find any options, choose another one from the list!).

2. Then, you have to select two blog entries, one from one of the blogs named on the list, and another one from the blog you choose. You have to read and compare them. To help you classifying the information, you can use this chart:

Name of the Blog and the Blogger Title of the blog entry What is the blog entry about?

Number of paragraphs (+ main ideas in each one)

Number of images and quality
(Remember it has to be from one of the blogs named on the list)

(If you choose a Spanish or any other language blog, you might answer IN ENGLISH, except for the name of the blog and the title)

3. Once you have completed your chart, think with your partner about any Travel 4 Food experience you have had and write a similar blog entry (number of words: 200-250).

NOTE: You can include videos, pictures...

IMPORTANT: Use a WORD document to write your blog entry and upload the final document to Edmodo.

Evaluation

If you followed the previous steps and you worked collaboratively with your partner, you would succeed in this!

Your final score is a combination of:

1. An individual score from the observations and involvement in class work.

2. Another score (the same for each member of the team) from the blog entry you upload to Edmodo.

You will receive feedback as soon as possible and you will also have a second chance to reedit and modify the final version.

Conclusion

Nowadays, Travel 4 Food blogs are such a rich source of amazing information about cultures and its traditional dishes, food rituals, people's identity, etc.

After all this sessions, YOU ARE READY to start the final task for this Unit... Being a Travel for Food YouTuber for a day!
