Introduction
Have you ever walked through your neighborhood or school and noticed trash scattered on the ground, plastic wrappers, bottles, or food containers left behind? Littering is a problem we see every day, but have you ever stopped to ask: Why does this keep happening? What can we do to stop it?
Task
Your task is to create a digital poster or slideshow that explains why trash is everywhere and what strategies we can use to prevent it. You will work in groups of 3–4 and present your findings to the class. Your output must include the following:
- Identify the main causes and effects of widespread trash or waste
- Propose strategies to reduce or prevent littering
- Include visuals or diagrams to support your ideas
- Write a short reflection on why waste management is important
Process
1. Watch the program: Trash Talk: Awareness and Practices of Senior High School Students on Solid Waste Management
2. In your group, assign roles: researcher, writer, designer, presenter
3. Use the resources to gather information and images
4. Create your poster or slideshow using Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides
5. Present your work to the class
