Scenario:

     You are a medical researcher tasked with designing a presentation for a group of high school students to educate them about the excretory system and its role in maintaining homeostasis in the human body. Your goal is to engage the students and help them understand the importance of the excretory system in eliminating waste and regulating bodily functions. You only have three weeks before the date of the presentation.

  1. Researcher: Conduct research on the excretory system, including its organs, functions, and how it interacts with other systems in the body.

  1. Create a visually appealing presentation. You could use for example power point presentation, or poster that cover the following topics:
  • Overview of the excretory system: organs involved, their functions, and structures.
  • Processes involved in waste removal: filtration, reabsorption, secretion and excretion.
  • Importance of the excretory system in maintaining homeostasis: regulation of water balance, electrolyte balance, and pH levels.
  • Interactions with other systems: connections with the circulatory and respiratory systems.
  1. Include diagrams, images and multimedia elements where necessary to enhance understanding.
Process

     Design an interactive activity to engage the audience and reinforce key concepts. This could involve a simple experiment, a game, or a simulation related to the excretory system.
