A) Affirmative form.
Examples:
There is a round table in the kitchen. (Photos)
There are two arm chairs beside the dining table. (Photos)

B) Negative form. It is built by adding NOT after is or are.
Examples:
There is not a pet in my house. (Photos)
There are not sofas in Peter's living room. (Photos)
* Is there a pet in your place folks? Are there sofas in your living room?
Obs: Contracted forms.
- There is: there's +
- There are: there're +
- There is not: there isn't -
- There are not: there aren't -
C) Interrogative forms. To create a question we place is/are in front of there.
Examples:
Is there any furniture in Peter's living room? (Photos)
Is there a cat in your home? (Photos)
*What about furniture guys, is there any in your house? Probably yes!

D) Short answers. We also use there is/are in short answers.
Examples:
Is there a musical instrument in your flat? Yes, there is.(Photos)
Are there cars in your garage? No, there aren't. (Photos)
