This Webquest is created for grade 12 learners to get more understanding about the theories of Evolution which were formed by the two Scientists.
Introduction
When you look back and observe the world you can see that the world has really evolved. There's been a huge change from the way we live to how things are happening around us and this is a proof that things are no longer the same. Today we'll be focusing mainly on the theories of Evolution. Most people are curious about evolution and they want to have more information about it. You are about to engage in this task and you'll have to go through some search engines which will be presented to you and then complete the activities.
Task
Each individual learner is expected to create a PowerPoint presentation, where you'll be asked to explain the development of longer necks in modern giraffes using both theories of Lamarck and Darwin. You'll also be expected to create a table where you will be presenting the differences of Darwin's theory and Lamarck's theory. You need to complete two more excersises.

- Evolution is the process of adjusting to new environmental conditions.
- According to Darwin, all giraffes had longer necks.
- Darwin's theory of natural selection contradicts the theory of Lamarck.

2. Explain why Lamarck's theory was rejected.
3. Do you think that Darwin's theory of evolution is correct or not? Justify your answer.
- Based on your understanding about the two different theories of evolution, draw a table presenting the differences that you've observed between the theory of Lamarck and Darwin.
