Introduction

Welcome to the Webquest! Have you ever wondered why you and are friends learn and act so differently? Do you want to learn more about yourself individually as well? Well, in this Webquest you will be tasked with learning about three theories of learning and behavior:Cognitive Psychology, Behaviorism, and Social Cognitive theory. This Webquest will task you with learning about each theory and crafting a presentation! The presentation will be shared with the class. At the end of the Webquest, you will have the knowledge and be able to explain each theory. Happy learning!

Task

Task:

The task for this Webquest will be to get into groups of three and make a trifold poster presentation for the three theories. Each group will make one and present it to the class. Information will be found through research of scholarly sources. A good understanding of the theories principals and application to education will be found and in the presentation.

Process

Process:

- Group Assignment

  • Three students per group
  • Each group will research all three theories

- Reliable Sources

  • Should be scholarly sources (.edu, .gov, etc.)
  • No Wikipedia/AI
  • Video lectures/sources are allowed

Presentation Content:

  • Definition of theory
  • Key theorists for each and how they contributed
  • Key Principals of the theories
  • Example of how the theory is used in an educational setting
  • Each theory will get its own section on the trifold poster to easily separate them
  • Work Cited
