You are now a Professional Athlete and the latest addition to ProSports Incorporated. Nike has just signed you to a 3 yr $5 million dollar contract. Yay!!

As an athlete, it is important that you know the basics of accounting and banking to manage your money wisely. Too often athletes file for bankruptcy due to their lack of knowledge with basic economic and accounting functions.

We are here to help you become financially literate. We are excited to have you as a client. This contract will have you become familar with financial basics such as:  making money, saving and investing, and interest.

As an athlete, you will be competing with differrent professional athletes. It is important that you are able to spend the money you have either won or lost wisely.

At ProSports Incorporated, we offer our services for the best football and soccer players in the world. Football players that play in the National Football League will be playing with other football players from different teams. Soccer players will also be playing in the FIFA World Cup with other teams.

The goal for you and your team is to gain as many goals or touchdowns as you can by answering the upcoming questions correctly.

Process

1. Form 4 groups of 5 students

2. Each group will be assigned a sport (either football or soccer)

3. Each group will go to the website for their assigned sport and start the game.

4. Each group will decide what team they will be playing for

5. Each group of the same sport will be competing against each other.

6. Each student will be given an opportunity to play for their team.

7. Each question correct will be worth 5 points for the entire group

8. Each question incorrect will be minus one point.

1. Each student will choose Head to Head Mode.

2. Each student will choose a rookie

3. Each student will choose 10 minutes to play

4. Each student will choose a team

5. Each student will then choose heads or tails (the team that wins the coin toss will 

6. Each student will choose the level of difficulty (easy, medium or hard) when the game begins
