Introduction

John F. Kennedy Webquest

John ("Jack") Fitgerald Kennedy was born on May 29th, 1917 in Massachsetts. Before becoming President, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate. He was the 35th President of the United States, the first Catholic President, and the youngest to be elected. He served for 2 years before his assassination in 1963.  During his presidency, he needed to deal with many foreign crises, for example the Cuban Missle Crisis, and problems in Berlin. He also played an influential role during a critical time in American history, the Vietnam War.

This Webquest was designed to teach students about the history of President Kennedy, and the role he played in the Vietnam War. 

Task

The task of this Webquest is to:

Learn about John F. Kennedy's view on the Vietnam War through websites and a video.

First, as a group, you will watch two videos about John F. Kennedy and answer questions about what you have watched. Next you will visit two websites, one were you will learn facts about John F. Kennedy,  and another that shows a timeline of John F. Kennedy's life and answer a few questions about both. Lastly, as a group the members need to come up with one thing that they learned from viewing this webquest.
