As we know, teenagers are being wrongly portrayed thorugh the media. Whether these are ads, movies, songs, etc. you are being wrongfully represented. Do you dress like this every day? 
Task
1. Research a type of issue that relates to you as a teenager.
This can be anything that has troubled you OR something that you have found had a positive effect on you.
2. Research a type of media.
This can be your favourite movie, song lyrics, music video OR an ad that you’ve probably seen a million times, a jingle used to get you to buy something.
3. Research these two things together.
We will be able to do these together in groups in class so make sure you have your media and topic ready for discussion by Thursday next week.
4. Analyse the media and the way it represents you, as a teenager.
This will be in the form of an essay. You will write to convince me of your stance on the matter. REMEMBER: You need to have professional statements to back up your opinion.

FINALLY:
You will need to recreate your negative media representation of teens. If you have chosen an ad, you will need to make a new ad. If you have chosen a movie, pick a segment (maybe 3-5 minutes long and recreate that.If have chosen song lyrics, you will need to rewrite the song (not the whole thing but the main negative aspects or maybe some words here and there that help change the meaning.
