Table Napkin Folding

Introduction

The napkins are made of cloth or paper that guests use during meal service materials. Most used to clean around the mouth. Especially during meals, before drink something it is used to prevent the cup from getting oiled or contaminated by lipstick.

Napkin Types:

Types of Napkins According to their Materials:

 

Fabric Napkins:

Fabric Napkins, as in tablecloth, cotton, linen, cotton-linen mixture or mixed fabrics. 

 

Paper Napkins:

Single or multi-layered napkins made of paper. Paper napkins, to clean hand and around the mouth. much more than food tables cocktails and middle-class food and beverage businesses.

 

Napkin Types According to their uses:

 

Fabric napkins take different names depending on the place they use, the time and the people who use it. 

these are:

Cooking Napkins

Breakfast and tea napkins

Service (waiter) napkins

Tray (cuff) napkins

 

Cooking Napkins:

Fabric napkins that guests use at lunch and dinner. Fabric napkins are used for decorative purposes, easy to take shape it must also have the feature. 

 

Breakfast and Tea Napkins:

They are cloth napkins that guests use during breakfast and tea hours.

 

Service (Waiter) Napkins:

They are made of white, cotton or linen fabric, which are used by waiters to make their work easier during the service. It can be carried on the cuff or hand as folded on the left hand side hanging around the wrist.

Service Napkins provide the benefits and places used:

- It prevents contamination of the shirt when empty dishes are collected.

- prevent finger prints from moving clean plates and tools.

- prevents scratches and slippage during transport of food containers.

- It prevents the hand from burning while lifting the service containers.

- Serves cold served wines, used in bottle wrap.

 

Tray (Cuff) Napkins:

They are napkins which are used to prevent the sliding of materials placed on the tray and the contamination of the trays.
