Online Game for English Learning

Introduction

by Surya Pratama, student of English Education Department, UNDIKSHA

A webquest designed for the college students to enlarge their knowledge about education.

INTRODUCTION

There are so many ways to learn or acquire English language, but in my opinion, the best way to acquire English language is by playing games, especially online games. The word “Online” refers to something global, which means the game is played by many people in different countries. By playing online games, we can interact with people in other country, we can talk to them. The game itself uses English language for every word in there. From that, we can learn some vocabularies which we don’t know before. By doing that kind of activity, we automatically learn English. In fact, there are so many people who play online games know more about English language instead of people who don’t play online game.

In this webquest, students will be introduced about what online game is, what it is for, it's advantages and disanvantages. Students will asked to answer and discuss about those that are related to online game.
