Introduction
We're back!
Farmer Charlene and Farmer Rodney here- we hope you've had lots of fun learning all about cows and how they make milk.

Task
TASK ONE:
Over the past 5 weeks we have learnt so much about cows and how they produce milk. You are all very clever and we realise you know that there are other products that are made from dairy. So, your first task is to find out a little more about another dairy product of your choice. You can choose from:
- Ice-Cream
- Yoghurt
- Chocolate
- Cheese
- Sour cream
You need to research:
1. A brief history of your product- where does it come from? What it was used for originally? What is it used for now?
2. Find out how this product is made
3. Show examples of how the product can be packaged and what materials are used.
4. Include some interesting facts about your product
TASK TWO:
Once you've finished task one, we want you to think back to the excursion we took to the farm.
What other animals were you interested in?
All animals produce some kind of product that we use and we want you to find out what your animal produces and how that product is used in Australia.
Process
Task One:
Once you have decided which dairy product you would like to research, you need to go and get your science journal and start a new page. In english, we have been learning about information reports. Once you have found all of the information you need, you will have to plan and write an information report. You can include pictures and diagrams if you wish.
The following websites will help you with your research! If you want to do a little bit of your own research as well- you are allowed to do this.
Happy Researching!!

Task Two:
For this task, you will be able to present your findings in a way of your choosing. You will have to present it to the rest of the class so try your best to make it as engaging as possible! You have the opportunity to be as creative as possible, so find a way to present that you are going to enjoy. This migh include drawing, creating a power point or prezi, news bulletin etc.
Remember to choose an animal that you would like to learn more about. As well as using the internet to do your research, there will be plenty of books in the classroom that will help you! Make sure you use both the internet and the books!
Good Luck!
