Introduction
Hi I'm talking about baseball. baseball is a sport, if you didn't know that already. if your team is fielding, the in-field has 6 positions you can play catcher, pitcher, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base and short stop which is in between the 2nd and 3rd bases. So if you are on a base don't be dumb and step off it because then you will be out if the baseman has the ball with him, otherwise you is fine. if you team is batting, only two people should be out of the dugout at a time. One person should be going up to bat, and the other should be warming up in the on-deck circle, which is where you should have plenty of room to practice swings or stretch before you go up to bat. When you are batting there is a catcher behind you and a pitcher in front of you. The catcher's job is to catch any baseballs you don't hit, or, say you bunted a baseball and it fell to the ground close to the catcher. In this situation, the catcher would pick up the ball, and throw it to 1st base, 2nd base, or 3rd base; depending on where you are and where you are going. The pitchers job is to either throw the ball in the batters box, or to throw it just out side to make you swing a it, which would be a strike. While you are playing batter, the way you could get a ball, it if the pitcher throws the ball outside the batters box and you don't swing at it.
