Introduction
This web-quest is intended to be used in sharpening and improving the speaking abilities of the Senior High Secondary School Students.The speaking skill is going to dwell on the INDEPENDENCE DAY of Ghana and the leader who champion the emancipation.
Task
THE TASK OF FIRST GROUP OF YOU MY DEAR STUDENTS is to talk about Kwame Nkrumah's brief background.
His parents, and place of birth. You will also talk about his family life and education.
THE SECOND GROUP will also have to talk about KWAME NKRUMAH'S pivotal role concerning Ghana's independence.
As a head of state of an independent post-colonial nation in Africa- south of the sahara. His national liberation under the
direction of the Convention People's Party in 1957. Talk about his in Pan African Movement in the United State and
and Manchester in England in 1945.
FOR THE THIRD AND LAST GROUP; you're supposed to talk about the then GOLD COAST, the country's name before
independence. His effort to breakdown the colonially imposed divisions between African North and South of the Sahara.
All African Peoples Conference in Accra. His subsequent overthrow in 1966, and death.

After the points were taken, from the relevant sources, you form groups to discuss what you have gathered.

3)Choose a leader to represent each group
NOTE:Print your paper in 3folds; one for yourself, another for your colleagues, and last one to the teacher.
STAGE3: The third and last stage: You are going talk about:

Conclusion

This webquest is intended for my 12Grade Secondary School Students (3rdyr). This is primarily to develop and enhanced their SPEAKING SKILL. Practice of this skill centered around The Independence Day of Ghana and the heroe who champion this noble and brave course. Students were given free hands to go in for their resorces, but only seek the teachers assistance when the need arises.
This idear was developed from the 3rd year Social Studies Book.
1- Reasons behind the creation of this webquest is to encouraged and motivate students to seek alternative means of seeking knowledge (technology) and not to dwell solely on conventional way of teaching and learning
2-To get student to be active teaching and learning
3- To encourage them to imbibe the the character of self-learning.
