Introduction
In this Webquest, you will learn about The Soviet Union. You will be learning certain topics such as the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, its leaders who rose to power and why it was made. The Soviet Union was a crucial to Russia, or otherwise known as the "U.S.S.R.". The Soviet Union was the first totalitarian state to establish itself after World War I. The Soviet Union was created after Vladimir Lenin led the overthrow of Alexander Kerensky. The Soviet Union also played major roles from WW2 to the 1990's.The Soviet Union had a goal of giving everyone equal social and economic rights. You will be learning about these different topics by watching videos that are listed for the questions.
Task
1.) Why did the Soviet Union start in the first place? What did it achieve? Write a short response explaining how the Soviet Union started and what it achieved. Use examples from the video to explain your reasoning.

In this Webquest, we learned about the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, or otherwise known as the U.S.S.R. We also learned why the Soviet Union was created and who it was created by. The topics that were covered are crucial information in order to learn more about the Soviet Union. Hopefully when you watched the videos, you learned more about the Soviet Union.
