Solving Two-Step Equations

Introduction

As an Algebra I student, it is important to understand how to solve multi-step equations, especially two-step equations. At this point in your education, you should have previously mastered how to solve one-step equations. Now, let's take it one step further!

The purpose of this WebQuest is to help you learn how to solve two-step equations by exploring this concept, and solving these type of problems on your own with relation to real-world concepts. This knowledge can be important for the real-world because, no matter what you choose to study as your career of choice, you will have to understand how to solve two-step problems. Good luck!

Task

By working through this WebQuest, you will gain the knowledge to accurately solve a two-step equation by:

1. Viewing videos online that help you understand how to solve two-step equations.

2. Solving two-step equations on your own.

By working through this WebQuest, you should be able to answer the following guiding questions:

1. What is a two-step equation?

2. How do you solve a two-step equation?
