Introduction
Mr. Alphin is a 24 year old man that has always been working as an apprentice in his father's garage which is a Sole Trader Business from his teenage years. He enjoys working in the garage and is thinking to establish a Sole Trader business of his own. However, he does not know how to go about doing so and is seeking advice from your class 10 Business.
Task
You are hired by Mr.Alphin to inform him on what is a Sole Trader Business, the advantages and disadvantages of such .
In groups of six (4) you are required to:
- Create a chart to illustrate and explain what is a Sole Trader Business using pictures.
- Develop a powerpoint presentation outlining at least three (3) characteristics of a Sole Trader Business.
- Design a video that gives information as to what are the advantages and disadvantages of the Sole Trader business.
- Create an advertisement for your very own Sole Trader Business.

Before one can seek to engage in any activity one must know what that activity is from a standardized viewpoint using a formal definition.

After such a thorough research and the explanation that were given by the websites, Mr. Alphin should now understand what a Sole Trader business is. The advantages/benefits of a Sole Trader business as well as the disadvantages/drawback of a Sole Trader business and appropriate examples (1 2) of such. He would have also been made aware of the chracteristics of the Sole Trader. In order to demonstrate to Mr.Alphin the actual visualization of a Sole Trader business a video was created for The Docks Seafood. As a result of this new knowledge he possess he will now understand fully the concept of the Sole Trader and will be able to make decisions as it regards to establishing a business of his own.
