Topic The Forest
At the end of the lesson students should be able to:
1. Examine and analyze evidence from a variety of sources about the benefits of the forests for human beings and the physical environment.
2. Assess the immediate and long-term multiple effects of the misuse of forests on human beings and the physical environment.
3. Put forward solutions for the problems created by misuse of the forest by humans.
Task
Take five minutes to think about ways in which the forest benefits us and the physical environment. Write down the ones you can think of.
Once you are finished click the link to watch the video below. Be sure to compare what is said in the video to what you wrote down. Add three benefits mentioned In the video to your list.
Process
1. Can you think about some effects that misuse of the forest has on humans and the physical environment? Write them down in your books.
2. Watch the video below and add any 4 mentioned in the video to your list.
3. For each misuse mentions come up with a possible solution for each.
Evaluation
You are a member of the environmental club at your school. You are asked to create a poster and put forward solutions for the problems created by misuse of the forest by humans. Complete this activity and upload it in the classroom. You can use the powerpoint below to assist you.
