Introduction

Hello and welcome! In this activity, we will be going on a very interesting adventure. We will be traveling the world and will be taking a tour of the countries! sounds great, doesn't it? So please put on your seat belt of attention as we are going on a fun flight. But before we go on our journey, here are a few things you will need to know.

Country: A country is a region that has a separate geographic territory. Countries are separated geographically, politically and culturally. A country will have its own government, laws, constitution, military, police and a number of other institutions. A country will almost always have a unique culture and tradition.

Continent: Continents are large land masses that are separated by oceans whereas the countries around the world have geo-political boundaries. The people from the same continent may have certain similarities.

  • Asia, Australia, Antarctica, Africa, North America, South America, Europe are the seven land masses that are called continents. There are over 190 countries in the world.
